Home Learning

Welcome to the Langwith Bassett remote learning information page, which is designed to support you and your child during any periods of isolation and learning from home. It is important that we work together in minimize the impact time away from the academy has on pupil learning.

In any periods of pupil absence through isolation or lockdown, we will continue to work hard to provide the same learning for your child as they would have received in the academy. Resources will be available through Google Classroom and will be a mix of live lessons, recorded introductions, uploaded and linked activities.  Please encourage your child to engage with these as fully as possible and upload any work so that we can see how they are getting on and plan for their next steps.

Please be assured we know how stressful this may potentially be at home, especially where children are sharing devices, trying to do different lessons in different classes and where parents and carers are also working from home. We appreciate all of your efforts to help your child continue to learn. Please relax, we know these are very stressful times. We need to support each other and celebrate what we have achieved. Please call or email with any worries, issues or problems. We will do our best to provide technical expertise and answer any questions or queries you may have.

Stay safe and well,

Sarah Bacon

Remote learning is a new concept for all of us. We have worked hard to create a remote learning package that we are extremely proud of. Our Remote Learning Guide has been created to support you as much as possible while you are based at home with your children.
